while removing the left shock, i had the lower control arm jacked up, (brake calipers, spindle, etc were removed for ball joint replacement), i loosened the top nut on the shock the the pressure when it came off caused the spring to come unseated a few inches on the bottom, then the shock was pulled down and is sitting sideways in the spring, the spring is sideways inside the shock..will i have to remove the lower control arm to get all this fixed right??.

You're lucky you didn't get hurt. You need to get a coil spring compressor, compress the coil and get it back into place.

Be careful. I've see those things shoot across the shop and I know they could have killed someone if they were hit the wrong way.

First, thanks for the positive feed back. Let me know if you have other questions. Also, you should be able to get the coil spring compressor from a nationally recognized parts store. Most lend them.

Take care,
Joe
