1992 Dodge Dakota Oil pressure gauge

My oil pressure gauge is acting funny it is dropping to zero when I am idleing but when I am driving it is normal. I did put 5w30 in it. And it is idling a litlle low. Help

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge,if normal replace the oil pressure switch. If abnormal could mean oil pump and/or engine bearing.
