1992 Dodge Colt wont idle cold and will rev but idles when

I've had this colt for years and am unable to make it run when i start it it will rev up decent but not quite right and wont idle on its own but when it warms up it will idle but wont rev without being pumped. my distributor went out awhile back and i changed and it ran good a couple of months then started running rough like now I have changed comp., tps, mass air flow, distributor, o2 sensor, i took the catylitic converter out and i cheanged all the vacuum hoses i could find i only found like three behind the motor. I need some serious help i havent found a shop that could give me a answer the only thing i havent checked is fuel pressure and i do not have a check engine light on

Check timing belt for accuracy and proper tensioner also Fuel pressure that can not be tested is fuel question mark. The reason for mentioning timing belt was because you said it was good after dist. replacement. A valve timing problem, I always used the distributor to see if it made a low power poor running car better. you can just give it a slight change and you can tell. yup, put so many timing belts in them. But never too many fuel pumps. You have changed the filter? fuel and air right.

yeah i changed both air and fuel filters and didnt help i think it may be a timing issue too its a new belt and upper pulley but someone else timed it so it could be off but moving the distributor speeds up the idle but dont let it rev when hot and it will rev all the way till it is hot than it dies off at the same point every time once it gets to normal operating temp it it drops off like something is opened or turned on or off

bryan there is a specific way the timing is checked and the engine is reset.
Those motors were so good but you had to use Mitsu parts and the belts always were the problem. Not the mileage. It is the RPM,s that matter in maintenence issues. See what happens. Thanks for getting back to me. I have been so darn busy, I think the economy is picking up.
