Hello gentleman! I have some very strange situation-Dodge Colt E 1988 1.5, 4 cyl
For 21 year old car engine is running good. I have no engine coolant in BOTH LARGE RADIATOR HOSES at any time.I notice that 10 days ago,but car is still running like nothing is wrong.I could see just little hot fumes coming out under hood but nothing much like we would expect.I notice also that engine lost just little of power. Radiator is full to the top with coolant at all the time.I changed old termostat and it was faulty, but situation did not change with new one either(new one is checked and is OK).I checked with 2 mechanics and they could not give me answer, because they never heard about that situation.
Of course I would like to fix that as soon as possible to avoid future damage. Is it water pump or ???
Thank you guys !

I dont undersatnd what you mean by "no coolant in large hoses"..... If the radiator is full, then the large hoses should have coolant as well.Has the temp light ever come on?

There is coolant in radiator to the top.No coolant in UPPER AND LOWER radiator hoses at any time.Hoses get hot but no coolant inside. No leaking anywhere. Light never come on. Engine temperature gage work showing normal temperature.Just some hot fume come out of engine, but no any smoke like would be normal to expect. VERY STRANGE ???
I am driving car anywhere and car running fine for 21 year old.Lost some power. CLOGGED SOMEWHERE ??? WATER PUMP ???????

remove upper and lower hoses adn thermostat.Use ahose to see if water will flow through the radiator. If ok then do the same to see if it will go through the engine. The water pump impeller may have come off theback of thepump, but i have never seen one completely plug up the cooling passages

turn the hose on with the end in the upper inlet on radiator to see if thewater flows through the radiator, do the same with the engine, but for the engine you will need to remove the t-stat
