1970 Dodge Challenger V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

when i turn off the key the engine wants to stay running. this is a new crate motor and new wiring harness,also the tach is not working.

I own a 1973 model Check to see if the ignition accuator rod is actully turning off the motor it connects to a slide switch on the collum. it has to go to the middle of the switch to shut off
