transmission problems

1999 Dodge Grand caravan, 3.0, 208000mi, transmission rebuilt at 132000mi. Driving home the transmission slipped for a second. Felt like I hit a patch of ice not likely in Fla. Drove a few miles more till I stopped for a light. When starting up it wouldn't move, gave it some more gas and it started bucking till I reached about 20mph then it smothed out. Next light same thing lucky it made it home. Reverse was same way. When in neutral I couldn't push the car, it felt likeit was in park. Shut the engine off and it moved OK. Dropped the pan and fluid was burnt.had fine filings on it but no chunks like before it was rebuilt. Installed new filter and fluid to no avail.

Could be the differential inside the trans. Regardless looks like another r and r to see what happened

I was hoping for a computer problem or bad torque converter. But if it's in the tranny not much point in having it done. Looks like a DIY learning project.

To help out anyone who reads these. I dropped the tranny and pulled the front pump out. The spline shaft that my tranny tech thought might have sheared, as chrysler had installed weak inferior ones, was fine. However the next two sections there is supposed to be a bearing seperating them and it was fried. Tech said it was from a lack of cooling lube and my lines must be plugged. He suggested adding an external cooler to prevent it from happening again.
