I have a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan with 120,000 miles and is 3.3L engine. In Feb I had taken the car to a delaer for excessive noise and overheating. They replaced my water pump, serp belt, ac comp, and thermo gasket. After driving about 75 miles back home to another state, I started to hear a slight noise coming from the belt again. When I took it to someone, they replaced the belt and the tensioner. The noise went away for about 20 miles, then came back. They then cleaned all pulleys and said it wasn't making noise. Sure enough, after 10 miles, noise came back. They replaced the gasket again thinking it was that but it wasn't. They believed it had something to do with the water pump so they advised me to take to the dealer because this would be warrantied since I just had it replaced. The dealer is telling me I need to replace the AC lines because they are spraying and/or leaking on the serp belt and that's where the noise is coming from. Of course, it's the one thing that wouldn't be warrantied so they would make more money off me. I find it hard to believe that the other 2 places I took it to had nothing to say about the AC lines and no one has seen any fluid on the belt. Is this even possible? I'm at a loss for what to do.
