Over the last few months I have noticed that the floor board on the driver side of my van seems to be always wet. At first I thought this was from snow getting dragged in on my or other drivers' feet. But, we are having a warm spell and there is no snow getting into the car now but the floor is still wet. Also, the removable mat is not wet, only the floor under it.

I have read on another page on this site that this may be a loose AC evaporator water tube or a bad heater core. Are these common problems, and how hard / expensive are they to get fixed?

We also have a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan with wet floor mat on the passenger side. There has not been rain recently. We do run the AC almost all the time. So we need help too.

It's a time consumiing process, peel the carpet back and water test it with a hose on slow. It is so hard to find(the runs or body creases) that holes have been drilled into the carpet and through the floor to keep it dry.

Can you help me locate the drain for my ac? I want to try the simple fix before I take it to a repair shop.

Hose goes through firewall oassenger side. acess from engine compartment maybe necessary to jack up van. Small wire clean out drain.
