38,000 miles, 3.8 litre

In 2004 the power steering hose was replaced due to a Dodge recall.
Just latley the car sounds like it is out of power steering fluid, and it is not. The noise comes and goes, sometimes it stops after a few minutes, and sometimes after driving long distances, it returns.
My mechanic has checked everthing, and cannot find the problem.

Thanks

Was that recall in regards to making the power steering return hose longer? We just did one 2 weeks ago and cured it. I don't believe it was a recall however, now that I think about it. As a matter of fact, do you have a little shudder when turning?

No matter, I'll send you the TSB, it wasn't a recall. I had a customer that had the same truck, same complaint. I felt the shudder that she didn't. did the TSB, and both probs were solved. If you have jack stands, you can do it. You don't need the dealer for this. Your regualer independent can do it if you can't. Check your email in 5 mins.

Well for what it matters, this took care of the whine on the one I did.
