I have a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan that is having "radiator cooling fan issues". They continue to run after the car has been shut off, even on short trips and the engine temperature is normal. I have tried disconnecting the negative battery lead, but when reconnected the fans will restart. After a few hours of disconnection, I reconnected the battery lead and all appeared normal, until a short drive and the problem remained.

Jack - According to the wiring schematic for this van, the fans are controlled by a Fan Relay located in front of the rad, behind the grill. The engine temperature sensor sends a reading to the PCM, which in turn activates the fan relay when needed. I cannot find anything in the engine manual that shows a fan speed control module in the circuit. They only operate at one speed.
