Hi I own a 2002 dodge caravan se
when i start the engine the van seems like it will die and then eventually over time it did. The lights in the van flicker and the engine makes a tinking noise and the whole van jerks forward when its started. I was told that the engine either needs to be replaced or rebuilt. I was planning to replace the engine and sell it privately. I would like to know whether this would be a smart investment or if I should juss sell the van as is, rebuild it and sell it or replace the engine and sell it? I am still unsure of the exact problem with the engine and have been quoted a bill of approx $1000-$2000 (includes labor)
