178,000kms - "tapping" started 6 days ago when at idle or under load. oil change 3 weeks ago. additive added today suggested drive at 2500rpm or above to allow for full coverage. if noise persists advised to replace engine. Is this necessary or can lifter (s) be replaced individually? if not replaced what damage can occur?
