2001 Dodge Caravan no pwer to wheels

I own a 2001 caravan with 147,000 miles. While driving down the interstate I felt a big shudder and then a few miles later lost all power to the wheels. The engine seems to work fine but could not get any power to the wheels. I turned the van off for 5 and then back on and could drive until I reached 10mph and then van would shudder again and loose power to wheels but not engine. Checked power steering, oil and radiator levels and all seemed fine. Any ideas??
