2001 Dodge Caravan Interittent P0401 code

I get intermittent P401 on my grand caravan (flex fuel). It comes on then in a day or two disappears.

Other symptoms are erratic idling, which seems to be increasing. I have read other posts that changing egr didn't solve their problem. One posts suggested changing egr solenoid, but I couldn't purchase solenoid anywhere. Is it part of egr.

Look's like the solenoid does come with the egr valve i found it for 64 plus shipping.Before you start changing thing's i would make sure you have a good vacuum source to the solenoid and all the hose's are good.Also that egr valve hold's vacuum and doesn't stick open.Also that your egr port is clear.
