Transmission problem
2001 Dodge Caravan Front Wheel Drive Automatic 210,00 miles

just recently got the tranny changed and it's been 4 months since it was changed. Now it's jerking i can still drive it around and when i start it up. I can drive for a bit then it will jerk 4 a bit and the speedometor will go bonkers and go in circles and then give out.and usually goes back 2 normal when i shut it off and start it again and does the samething over again..it will jerk for a bit then drive normally..
I had a guy drive it he said that it might be a blockage in a hose..that it felt like a suction kinda jerk..and he told me it would last for a bit till i can afford to get it fixed....if thats true what r the cost i'm looking at to get the work done? and if i want someone to look at it how much do i have to pay for that? and do i think that it a hose r something else? thanks so much..

First, if the man you went to said it is a "suction" problem, don't go back. I have no idea what he is refering to. It is an electrical problem if the speedo is affected. To me it sounds like a bad vehicle speed sensor (VSS). Has the check engine light come on?

PS: I didn't mean to sound so rude about your mechanic. I don't like people getting the run around and taken advantage of. He drove it. I didn't.
