HI got a napa repair center to replace the foot pedal sensor abs(rear brake lights) replaced for the wife. she picked it up and drove about 1/2 mile home and when she arrived i could smell brakes plus heat was coming out of the wheel well. checked the switch and it had not been snapped into bar holder properly(which i did in like 1 minute). was wondering if the front brake rotors/ pad would be damaged or not from this. had the front brakes redone like 10,000 km before. went to repair center and told them and they said they would refund but im still concerned about brake damage, any ideas

Absolutely yes, check to see any visible pad damage and roadtest brake performance as ABS requires special care. I think you love your wife and I bet she loves you also. Good luck with peace of mind for an hour's worth of extra safety. Heat is the biggest enemy of moving parts in contact.
