2000 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl 120000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have a 2000 Dodge Caravan 3.8l v6.
Two weeks ago my engine service light was on after I had a 40km trip at 110-120 km/hr speed . then, I found my car was lame. The rpm ran up to 3000, but the speed was 60km/hr. In this lame condition, I drove around 30km. I stopped by a friend house. I turned off engine and I checked my engine oil level and transmission oil lever. They were all right. After 15 minutes checking period, I drove my car back home. Surprised! My speed came back and rpm was 1500-2000 in normal range. But the service light was on still.
The next morning, the service light was off. It seemed that my car recovered . However, after a uphill drive and 70km/hr. The service light came again. My car became lame at high rmp 3000 and low speed 50~60km/h.
A friend told me that my speed senses were bad. Thus, I bought input and output senses and change them.
Next the whole week my car ran smooth and response the speed quickly. However, at the weekend I had a 130km trip and ran my over 120km/hr sometimes. After the trip , I drove on the city street. The engine service light came on again. a few minutes later, my car was lame. then I put over and shut down the engine and let it cool down. When I stared it the service light was on still. But I had my normal speed back at 1500-2000rpm and 60 km/hr.
I doubt my car has had a problem of high speed. I am wandering if my will be lame when I am on the high way. O..... I can not image.....
I really need help, please.

Need to have the PCM scanned to find out what code it has stored. The light is the computers way of letting you know it sees a problem in the engine /trans
