The pieces of chrome from the differential pin, and any one of the side bearings or transfer gear bearings fail, causing the same kind of metal contamination. You must tear the trans down to find the failure, replace it, the pin and clean the whole case sparkling clean then the cooler and lines to repair it. You can also try adjusting the throttle pressure cable or linkage. You can give it a little less throttle pressure by lengthening this distance that the accelerator pushes the lever with. You'll see the adjustment nut, loosen it and move it towards or away from its linkage to the lever. It is best to get a reman. Clean out the cooler.
