My van runs wonderfully except for this awful dinging noise when I apply the brakes. I check my brake fluid and all my other fluids. I've had it hooked up to a diagnostic which came back clear. It only happens when it reaches operating temperature and it sounds just like the dinging when the keys are still in the ignition and you open the door or when the van is off and you leave the lights on.

Watch for the "Door Ajar" light on the dash at the same time the dinging starts. Or, have a helper press lightly on the rear edge of the passenger doors from the inside of the van. If that starts the dinging, I have a fix.

Nope the door ajar light doesn't light up nor does pushing on the van doors create the sound either.

Rats. Thought there was going to be an easy fix.

Next, you'll have to find a mechanic with the Chrysler DRB3 scanner or an aftermarket scanner that can access the Body Computer. Under "Inputs / Outputs", each function will be listed along with an indication of whether or not it is active. The input that's triggering the chime should be self-explanatory.
