when driving up an incline ( big and small) the vehicle will began to run sluggish. Then the service engine light will come on and cause the car to run even more sluggish.
I took it to Autozone for a diagnostic and they pulled up a code of P07000.
I called the transmission repair shop about the matter and they sd that I would have to bring it in so that they could take the transmission apart but I am afraid to do so because I have had a bad experience with repair shops.
I checked the transmission fluid. It's clear yet it smells burnt.
Please adv'd on what the problem could be. Thanks

Auto zone scanner will read only generic code
p0700 in the PCM will tell only that you have a trouble in the tranny
if you scan the tranny control module it will give more detailed message and codes
I suggest checking with your local repair shop if they can scan for tranny codes
most common and what well always replacing on then tranny is the solenoid pack and or speed sensors you have two input and out put

good luck
