i started my van in morning. as soon i got on the road i realized the brake pedal was very loose. i applied the brakes. the pedal went all the way to the floor but the van kept going and finally came to a stop after some distance. brake fliuid level is ok. no leaks.brakes pads and roters are ok. i bled the brakes lines. still the same problem. if the engin is off the pedal is hard. as soon i start the engin it gets loose. could the problem be with the master cylinder?

You can test the master cylinder with the van off to see if it holds. It still may have air in it, or the booster could be bad. If they are not anti-lock brakes.
