It seems the 3.8 transmission for my vehicle is a rare thing to find. The cost is outrageous for a used transmission. A friend of mine who is a backyard mechanic says that a 3.3 transmission will work if the modulator is also changed. Will this really work? I can get a modulator and 3.3 transmission for less than half than the other.
