I noticed a sudden shake when I drove my van around today. I drove for 45 minutes without any problems but on the way home, the van shook. It happened fast and sudden and then everything was normal again. My mom drove it earlyer and said she had the same shake that resulted in the van stalling on the side of the road. She starded it back up and was able to make it home without problems.

The van will run and shift great without problems 90% of the time. it happens fast and sudden and usually wont last more than 4 seconds. It reminded me like if a spark plug wire was pulled while driving and than plugged back into the cap.

1st step should be to try and get what codes in the PCM
most part store should be able to help you in getting the codes
you can post them for more help

open hook and locate ASD relay mark it and switch it with another similes relay
check it if need a tune up
check fuel pressure
start engine and wiggle key and ignition switch if engine stalls suspect ignition switch
if all OK should have the crank position sensor check or replace

I found some trouble codes by using the ignition key method. Code 12(battery input to PCM was disconnected), 11(No crank reference signal detected during engine cranking), 66(No message received from transmission control module or Body control module), and 55(Completion of fault code display on check engine lamp).

I am guessing code 11 and or 66 are the possible problems.

Thanks
