1995 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

How do I replace the windshield wiper switch located on the side of the steering colum. This is a Combination dimmer, turn signal, & wiper switch
On a 1995 Dodge Caravan 3.0 L V 6 automatic 2wd.

Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable.
On tilt columns, remove tilt lever.
remove upper and lower steering column covers.
Remove Torx screws.
Pull switch away from column, and loosen connector screw (screw remains in connector).
Remove switch.

Will my diverside airbag deploy/activate (inflate) when i am removing the steering column cover and removing/installing the windshield wiper switch? If so how can I prevent this form happening. I dont wnt to mess up the air bag deployment system. Thank You Jerry

You shouldn’t be touching or coming in contact with the air bag and or the system at all
and NO need to remove steering wheel and or the driver side air bag
