Hi, me and my wife recently bought a 94 dodge caravan with a 181-3.0L V6 SOHC and about half a month after we got the oil changed I noticed a slight ticking from the engine. I decided it wasnt a very big deal and let it go, but as the day went on and we were finishing up running around the sound got progressively louder and more aggressive...quickly. Needless to say, at that point I immediately opened the hood to find my worst fear...NO OIL. I don't think we inflicted any mortal wounds on the engine because once I filled her back up with oil the sound subsided and the performance of the engine never really changed, for the worse as we lost oil, or for the better when we gave it the drink it so desperately needed. So my question is, now that I have told you every detail about the experience, would you agree with me and my (ASE Certified) friend who lives hundreds of miles away, but who I described every simptom to in depth that the main problem is most likely the valve stem seals? Also, exatly what tools...speciallty (got the wrenches and ratches covered) would I need in all to replace the valve stem seals, because luckily, we didnt get rid of the other vehicle we own when we got this one, so I will have some time to work on it. Well, thank you for listening to my Chrysler ramblings, and I look forward to hearing from you guys.

Dain Stewart.
