Transmission problem
1989 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

the transmission is chatering,not shifting feels like its stuck in drive,gets up to 55 miles an hour but doesn't seem to be down shifting.

Hi there, this may be electrical, a scan will show up any unresolved fault codes, if this is clear get the transmission check over by a qualified trans tech, do not delay it is better to be safe then sorry as transmissions with mechanical faults can do a lot of damage in a short time.
