Electrical problem
2007 Dodge Caliber 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
Our 2007 Dodge Caliber would not start one morning. We jump started it and it started. We drove it 1 mile and parked and when we tried to start it again it would not start. We jump started it again with no response. It "click, click, cliked," like the battery was dead. The battery was fine and there was full power to all systems. The key fob opens the door and arms the car correctly. When we try to start the car, we hear a "click-hum,click-hum" while the dash lights pulse, but the engine will not turn over. We replaced the starter motor to no avail. It does the same thing. the clicking is coming from the starter celanoid engaging and also in the valve cover on the top of the engine next to the drive belt. It acts like the engine is locked up. We keep it serviced and the fluid levels stay correct. This is the first problem we have had. Thnaks for any suggestions.
