1996 Dodge Avenger 4 cyl Automatic
my vehicle ran out of gas, I drove it to the last fume. I nearly filled the tank up, turned it on and let it sit for a moment. when i put in drive it did not move but did rev the motor. so i put it in 2nd gear, low, and reverse, the motor reved but did not move the vehicle. the vehicle did eventually make a few jerks and get a little motion going in all gears but not enough to put on the road. my father says it is the gas filter, i fear it is the transmission, gearbox, or timing belt. any suggestions
