This is a general question and not vehicle specific. If the connector to the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is disconnected, what effect does it have on the mixture provided by the injectors, richer or leaner? Please explain.

Thanks in advance for your reply. You guys are great!

The "Intake Air Temperature Sensor" helps give feedback data to the PCM and if it not connected you will get a trouble code in which the PCM cannot fine tune the fuel mixture for optimum performance and economy. These sensors are much like the MAP, MAF and oxygen sensors with help monitor the engine fuel and ignition system.
