Under the vehicle and saw this line disconnected. Looks replaceable by section, but I don't even know what it is. Definitely brake related I believe as that's where the line eventually leads. I seem to be stopping fine. What is the line and can I replace just the broken/rusted section?

Good afternoon.

that is an emergency brake cable that has rusted and broke. you will need that replaced. it is part of the emergency brake system.

Is it as easy as it looks? Can I replace a single section or must I replace the whole thing? It's on my passenger side. Is that considered rear right or left? I would think rear right.

It is the right rear.

No, it is not as easy as it looks. with all the rust, it will make it a little difficult to replace.

So I am still curious about repairing the broken section or the whole assembly.

The video I found on YouTube shows the passenger seat, seat belt, side panel, etc., removed, and carpet pulled to access the needed repairs. is this my probable labor intensive solution?

no, this repair is done under the car, not inside.

you cannot repair the cable, the whole cable has to be replaced.
