Despite battery having been charged it needs jump starting?

I'm not familiar with the vehicle, but I will try my best to help.

When you jump-start the vehicle, how are the jumper cables connected? Do you have a ground going to the engine block or other ground location other than directly to the battery?

Also, try this. Run a new ground between the battery and the engine block. See if that changes something. If you do this, use at least 4-gauge wiring.

One other thought, make sure the battery terminals are clean, tight, and free of corrosion.

Try this and let me know what you find.

thank you for your reply
When I jump start the vehicle, I connect the red cable onto the battery + and the black cable to a ground/engine.
With this there is no problem with the engine cranks.
However, without jump start the starter just clicks even though the battery is charged 12.6V>.
I don't think the problem is the starter otherwise how can you explain that it cranks when jump stated.
I suspect the battery doesn't have enough power to crank the starter...do you think that's possible?

When you suggest to "Run a new ground between the battery and the engine block" do you mean link the negative pole of the battery with the ground/engine? And try this without jump start?

Hi,

The idea that you are using a place on the engine as a ground, and it starts leads me to think the battery ground from the car's battery to the engine block is faulty or there is a weak ground.

Of course, the battery itself may be weak. You could charge it and have it load-tested at a parts store. Most will do it for free. That way we can confirm if it is or isn't the battery.

Additionally, make certain the battery cables are clean and tight. You would be surprised how many times a loose or corroded terminal connection causes this type of issue. Make sure the negative battery cable is in good condition.

I tried as you suggested, and it didn't work.
So, I took the risk and I bought a new battery and now everything is okay.
In the end was the battery which had lost power.
