Defroster and heater not working right

Yes, it sounds like you have a temperature blend door actuator that is not working right. Here is a guide to help you see what you are in for when replacing the actuator:

Here are the locations of all blend door actuators in case you need it later down the road. I would replace the temperature actuator.
