Misfire and will not stay running

Okay, my brother in law was diving down the road and the vehicle just shut off on him and wouldn't start back. Well, checked into it and the timing belt broke plus the water pump was leaking, so changed both those. Set it back in time and started it up and now it has a dead miss to it. And when I let off the gas pedal it shuts off.
It's got a good battery in it. It's got a brand new camshaft sensor on it. So what next?

This engine is a non-free wheeling engine, meaning that if the timing belt breaks, the valves will hit the top of the pistons and thus bending the valves and possible piston damage. You will need to do a compression and leakdown test to identify which cylinder/s are low.
