A light has been on on my dash board for a while, see attached picture, the car symbol with arrow pointing to a droplet. I don't think its the oil because it flashes up 'oil ok' when I start the car. The gauge to the left shows empty but last time I drove it it had 2 bars and the car symbol and droplet were still there. I had the car serviced a few weeks ago and there were no problems. Isn't coolant level something they would check during a service?

Yes this is for the coolant, oil level, or washer fluid. You could have a fluid level sensor that needs to be replaced can you please check the engine oil level and washer fluid? Please let me know.

Hi Ken, thanks for the reply. I have checked oil level, coolant, washer fluid and brake fluid and all are fine. Any ideas?

If all levels are okay it sounds like the level sensor is out. do you have the owners manual for the car? This should show us which warning it is.

hmm, can you call the dealer and ask which level sensors they sell for that car? I don't have information on that light.

Hi Ken, after looking at a manual online I believe this light is actually one of the trip setting displays although the manual doesn't have information on this particular icon. See attached page from the manual. Looks like it might be 'estimated range with remaining oil or coolant' or something similar. Relieved that it's not anything serious! Thanks for all your help on this!

After much research I found it relates to the service mileage counter. Mine is due a service in 2 months so I just reset the counter. Refer to the below video which explains how to reset the service mileage counter.

This was so helpful as the light came on and I'd searched and searched and couldn't find anything other than here!

Thank you so much!
