JustAnswer has asked me to answer your question -- "2002 Envoy XLT dash lights went out a mechanic changed a fuse" under the back seat behind the drivers side. NOw the lights will not go off

The dash lights stays on it will not turn off even if I turn the knob on the left of the steering wheel. The only way to stop the panel from lighting up is to turn the switch to dim them

the dimmer itself may be bad. the headlight switch could be shorted to power or a harness issue.
