dash lights are blinking like crazy the gauges jump up and down and you hear a click with a ding. It is doing this every two seconds. Three weeks Prior to all this happening the alternator was replaced, about a week after that my air conditioner went out then all the gauges went crazy. Took it to a shop and they reset the computer and it was fixed for about an hour after I got it out of the shop, then it started again. I am at a loss. I just bought this SUV and I have no clue what to do. I do not even know how fast I am driving. The only other thing I can think of is, I washed my car and the sun roof was slightly cracked and not much water got in, so I do not see that really messing anything up. unless, someone knows anything about that messing up Dodges. Please help .

if you opened hood and washed under there you may have messed up a module. check battery for condition including load test most places do for free. it may have something to do with it. also check battery terminal ends for cleanliness.

The battery was checked when I took it to the shop so I am guessing all was fine with that . And no I did not wash under the hood or even under anything just a normal wash.

Is it going to take me taking the whole dash apart cause I cannot even listen to the radio cause it will cut in and out with the dings.

this could be a bad dash as well as they do go bad or there is a short someplace causing all of this if this was ever in a wreck which you probably do not know. check the harness under the hood leading from the PDC (fuse box) and see if you can see any cut wires/chafing along it.

Thank you so much I will look into all that this weekend and keep you updated. Cause now that you mention it when my alternator went out the lift gate automatically locked it self and there was no key hole on the outside for me to unlock it. A few days later it just unlocked it self and I do randomly hear it make a lock noise sometimes.

@Munchkin1569, did you figure it out? Our 2007 Dodge Durango is doing this as well. We just got a brand-new alternator and battery as well as a new Junction block as it was wet (how I do not know) and it was the cause for frying the alternator. But now 1200 later the dash lights flicker off and, on a ding, every two seconds.
