Dash back-light and rear view mirror lights flicker and go out

Ok so I just picked up a 2000 sebring convertible the other day and it runs great and all except for the dash and dome lights flicker and go out then come back when they want too no pattern at all just randomly happens from what i can tell so far. I have checked the fuse and the grounds so far but this new to me never had to deal with a newer car lol it has the electro luminescence lighting and im not sure how that works and or what to look at next any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also the car was in a front end collision not very bad but still needed light repair witch has been done.

Are these lights that should be working when the door opens only? Have you checked the body grounds too?

The rear view mirror lights should come on when u open the door and they do but then sometimes when the gauge back lighting goes out they stop working too. I have checked the body grounds they are strong and clear of any corrosion I brushed them and cleaned them anyways then added some dielectric grease to be on the safe side anyways

Since the dash lights are affected too, I am starting to question the switch itself.l

That's what I was thinking ill start there its not to bad rock auto has it for like 117 something like that. I order that next weekend when I get paid and put it in and then post up here on how it goes (here hoping) lol

You may want to have the old switch checked before spending the money on a new one.
