Steering problem
1996 Daewoo Cielo 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
This description should make an obvious solution to someone I hope.
Firstly steering wheel has a lot of free play. Next when I make a left turn and straighten to continue onwards the car pulls left with the steering wheel following. I need to use force and hold the steering wheel in a straight position. It continues to be pulled left. Also, when I make a right turn the opposite happens (same description as above but with right pulling). when I forcefully hold the steering wheel in it's straight position the car drives straight and smooth. So to drive I continually have to hold the steering wheel stiff because of these left and right pulls.
My guess, something in rack gear assembly???
Thanks for any help. I will pass on to mechanics here. So far they have been less than helpful. Gah!
