The Timing belt broke and bent valves, now I need to remove the heads, have a valve job and replace the heads.
Procedure for removing the heads with the engine in the vehicle would be very helpful.

Hi,

When you remove the head, make sure the pistons were not damaged. Check for cracks or anything that can prevent them from functioning as designed.

As far as the directions, I attached them below. You need to remove both the upper and lower intake manifolds. I added that in where it was needed.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

See pics below. Also, let me know if you need help with the timing belt.

I have another quick question.
On the bottom of the heads is a small (4") rubber gasket that is in a recessed channel.
Can you tell me a parts number for this gasket?
thank you

Hi,

I need to see a pic of this one. I don't recall there being a rubber gasket between the head and the cylinder head. I looked up head gasket kits and saw nothing that is approximately 4".

Is it possible for you to upload a pic of what you are seeing and upload it for me to see?

Let me know.

Never mind Joe.
It is the gasket for the timing belt cover on the bottom of the cam plate. Sorry for the confusion.
Thank you !
