Cylinder head

there is to much to copy due to timing chains. your best bet is to rent a book and print out what you need . you can do that through our site here and it will rent for a week. here is cylinder head stuff though. Starred bolts need sealer installed on them. also first pic shows necking on bolts if any of them show that or stretching where thread is not correct then replace them.

The biggest concern today, is since the rocker broke into pieces and I am only replacing the pass. side cylinderhead, is that the timing marks are on the actual timing chains and they dont seem to be lining up on the drivers side cam with the crank marks, so Im wondering if the the chain jumped a tooth during the valve seizing up. Intake valve was stuck wide open.

you have to retime the engine when you pull a head that is why isadi to rent a manual. if the valve was seized open then it was either to much clearance in guide to stem or the chain did jump and because its' an interference engine the valve probably hit the piston forcing it to stay open.

Yes I have been trying to figure out why the rocker let go. The cam actually scratch a slight mark in the cam sensor. i was suprised how much the cam must have moved during the "the big bang". lol
So i replaced the head so far and will retime everything. We've got the books. There is are alot of sprockets to align to the chains. Looks like it should be fun =P. Thanks for your help man, appreciate it much,.

Manufacturer defect in that part of the upper end?

not if timing chain jumped besides I don't know the mileage or engine size I do know a lot of 4.7L had problems with valve seats coming out while driving but I don't think that motor Is in your car and not sure of any type of campaign/etc.

Its a 07' 3.7L i think about 136k on mileage, do you have any info oon this special tool to hold the sprocket above the crank sprocket? Can i make a tool or is there a trick? any info on this job would help a whole lot, this engine design looks like garbage to begin with

tool looks like a bolt but hard telling what size it is they also talk about a camshaft holder but don't show a pic of it..
