After driving through a flood quite a few things on my car gave me issues, the biggest problem I currently have is that my front driver wheel makes a nasty grinding and squealing sound, even while jacked up and it only going straight. I was told it could be my CV joints but I want to know before I buy anything. Posting a video

Good evening.

Thank for posting the video. It does sound like a CV joint that got water in it and rust is in the rollers.

I would replace the axle shaft.

Roy

REMOVAL
1. Loosen axle nut and washer one turn.
2. Raise and support vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove brake caliper, bracket assembly and rotor.
4. Loosen four hub/bearing assembly to knuckle attaching bolts.
5. Remove ABS speed sensor mounting bolt, then position sensor aside.
6. Remove hub and bearing mounting bolts.
7. On right side drive axle, separate drive axle from the transaxle using axle shaft remover tool No. J-3308, extension tool No. J-29794 and puller tool No. J-2619-01, or equivalents, Fig. 9 .
8. On left side drive axle, using frame for leverage, separate drive axle from transaxle with a screwdriver or prybar in groove provided on inner joint.
9. On either axle, remove axle with hub and bearing assembly through the knuckle.
10. Remove axle nut, then separate axle from hub and bearing assembly using separator tool No. J-28733-A, or equivalent, Fig. 8 .

Thanks for that information. I will be doing that in the next few weeks. On a side note, would the parts from a 1993 Buick Regal Limited, four door fit my 1995 Limited four door?

If it has the exact engine and the exact transmission, yes it will fit.

Okay, so I will be attempting that CV job here in about ten days. Roughly how long will it take if things go smooth?

I picked up my parts car and I now have my CV axles so I will be doing that here soon. It is a 1993 with the same engine and transmission, I need to know what all mechanically will not go on to my 1995. I know the radiator and the computer and that is about it.

Pretty much most of the parts will be the same. Just match them up to be sure they are the same.
