cv joint clamp

In order to save space i stored several CV joint clamps (photo),while i shrink-ed the large diameter ones beyond their normal size.(the photo shows the normal size).
I mean, i rolled them (like rolling a tailor ruler tape) to smaller size. But, now when i am opening them in order to use them the metal strip is no longer have the smooth round shape. It becomes a little deformed a kind of a circle made of many small ribs.
Can it influence on the sealing of the CV joint boot? Can i use it at all?
