Hello! I'm having a problem with a Nissan B15 series, its engine is a QG15. the issue I'm having is that when ever i started to climb any hill with the vehicle its power started to cut back, but on the flat it runs pretty well. I started experiencing this when I switch the two wires on the coolant temperature sensor, my reason for switching the wires was because of a hard starting in the morning. now that problem was resolved but I'm now experiencing insufficient power on hills. My question is, could this problem clearly pointing to the same CTS? Awaiting an answer.

Hey KREMLO,

Your issue could be to do with you coolant temperature sensor. When you say you switched wires what why did you do this?

Can you please scan for codes and let us know what you have?

If you can get the live data from the CTS then please check this from cold against outside temp and monitor it during the warm up phase and when at operating temperature.

I took it for a test drive today but it's not pulling as it should. the power isn't there like it should. the check light came on the dash. I try to scan it with a Autel scanner, but the scanner doesn't seems to work with that year vehicle since it's an 2002 AD wagon.

Hey KREMLO,

The first thing to do will be to find a scanner that will work and give us a list of the codes you have stored.

Try deleting the codes and retesting, if the check engine light comes back on the re-scan and also list the codes after this delete/drive process.
