Cruise control stopped working

So there are a couple of things that could cause this. Let's start with what happens when you press the on/off button then the SET button. Does the system appear to turn on and just not set the speed or does the light not come on to even show the system is on?

Here is a description of the system which will help us identify what the issue is. Since this just happened after the treatment, I imagine the servo or cable is the issue. However, let's start with what it is doing and we can go from there.

Okay. If the switch was the issue then the on/off button would work but it would never engage. This means that the cluster is not getting the signal. That means it is either the switch or the clock-spring.

The unfortunate thing is there is no easy way to test these components other than seeing if you have power at the speed control servo. If you do then the switch and clock-spring are working. At that point it is most likely the servo but again, I would expect the light in the cluster to come on. Which means it probably will not have power there.

Have you checked for codes at this point? I just don't see how I can tie to the cleaning process that happened. So it may be a coincidence but the servo is under the hood so maybe it was damaged?

Code. I have not as it is not showing any warning signals on the dashboard. however that aside I can still check them and get back to you. I can also check for power to the servo. let you know on that two. It is only 24 degrees today here in MN so I will probably wait until it passes through.

Sounds good. You could have codes so that would be good to make sure but I don't blame you. At 24 things on me just stop working.
