Cruise Control does not work?

Light does not come on when pressing the cruise button. I have replaced the switch, have tested all of the fuses with a test light. All are working just fine.

I have read this can be tied to a brake switch, but my brake aillights are all working just fine.

I recently purchased this car, it runs great, so I am not sure about the history of when this started. The previous owner didn't know either.

Got the vehicle for a steal so these "minor" issues didn't feel like a big enough deal to not bite.

I have seen the spiral wire go out causing this issue but there are many components like the distance ECU and the lazar radar sensor that could be bad. Let's do a CAN scan which will go over the system to let us know what's going on. If no codes come up, I would do the spiral wire. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) from Amazon. here is a video to show you how. There are 11 fuses that run the system so please double check them with the key on.

No codes came up on a scan. I was able to get my hands on a clock spring (spiral wire) and replacing that did resolve my issue! Thanks for all of your help! Cruise control is working!
