Bought the truck listed above no reverse (automatic). Build date 9/99. Titled 2000. Included with purchase was salvage yard (newer than 1999) auto transmission. I installed it without noticing the newer transmission has no two-wire connector on the back top driver's side. The truck wiring harness has two pin connector. I didn't think much because I guessed it was speedometer only. Wrong.
It affects the overdrive light now flashing.
Here's my question:
Is there a pair of wires on the multi-pin connector going to the transfer case that carry a speed signal of some sort? I can parallel feed to the two-pin connector to let it see some kind of shaft speed.
