Ran rough. Drove fine on flat surface, dogged and/or died on any incline. 016 error. Now won't start. Replaced CVV intake and exhaust solenoids. Replaced cam sensor. Code p0340 or p0341 somewhere along this process. Want to replace crankshaft sensor but getting conflicting answers on location of this in my 2.4 Ecotec engine.

Hello,

The crank position sensor is located on the front lower part of the engine (see diagram below). It is being the starter.
In order to replace the crank sensor, you will have to remove the starter.

Keep in mind that the crank position sensor needs to be programmed to the vehicle after replacement.

I have attached the replacement procedure for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.

So if I don't have the equipment needed to program it, I probably shouldn't even do the replacement myself?

That is correct.
By the way what issues are you having in order for you to change the crank sensor?

I'll copy/paste from my initial question: "Ran rough. Drove fine on flat surface, dogged and/or shut off on any incline. 016 error. Now won't start. Replaced CVV intake and exhaust solenoids. Replaced cam sensor. Code 340 or 341 somewhere along this process.". I replaced the MAF, CVV's and cam sensor based on research into the codes below. I found the location of the crank sensor tonight, but if I need equipment I don't have to program/re-learn, I'm not going to replace it myself. I'm limited physically to do some things.

Keep in mind that this issue can be triggered by the sensor not getting proper voltage.
I have attached the troubleshooting guide for these codes below, it could help you with the diagnostics.
