Crankshaft sensor

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Anything is possible. I no longer purchase electronics for cars online because of bad experiences. Then, the return takes more time.

As far as the sensor, you can test it to determine if it is bad. Here are the directions. You will need to use a multi-meter to check resistance /ohms. Here is a link that shows how to use a multi meter/volt meter.:

Here are the directions for testing the sensor. The attached pictures correlate with these directions.

COMPONENT TESTS AND GENERAL DIAGNOSTICS

1. Disconnect crankshaft position sensor (OBD) harness connector.
2. Loosen the fixing bolt of the sensor.
3. Remove the sensor.
4. Visually check the sensor for chipping.
5. Check resistance as shown in the figure.

Resistance: Approximately 166.5 - 203.5 ohms [at 20°C (68°F)]

If NG, replace crankshaft position sensor (OBD).
