Sensor went bad car stalled wouldn't start again. had it towed home. Located sensor was removing it and it broke off flush with the motor. Drilled it out went to put new sensor in it won't fit. The new one I bought didn't come with an o-ring.

Only the metal part of the sensor fits in the hole.

Everyone I've talked to said it should pop out. It's almost like it's cemented can't budge it.

Okay, thanks.

You are going to have to chip the one edge all the way down until it splits and then it should release.

you could also drill it out but the metal chips going into the oil could damage the bearings in the long run.

not a fun job at all.

It doesn't fit yet. Does the entire dark circle come out? Still just the metal part of the sensor goes in.

That last thin collar has to come out around the center. use a small chisel and try collapsing it in on itself.

So I got this out of the crankshaft sensor hole. Which I'm assuming is the outer part of the magnet. I'm wondering where the rest of it is? Would it be pushed to the back of the hole or did it fall in oil pan?

It most likely fell into the pan. drain the oil and see if any of the remnants come out.

look at the new one. compare it to what you have versus what is new.

the only part you got off before getting it out was the top. the rest is inside the pan

Okay, so there would be no way that the hole could be plugged with the middle of the magnet? Because when I look in it I see metal at the other end?

Is the engine cranking fast enough? not like a dead battery?

You need spark, fuel pressure and compression to run.

Can you test for spark while cranking?

Can you hear the fuel pump run?

Okay, you need to verify spark and fuel pressure.

try spraying some starter fluid into the air filter and see if it starts and stalls.

you may have made the hole too big.

you may have to add an oring at the end.

Would that make it not start?
With it not having a tight seal around the hole.

no, that is for the leak only.

As I stated before, did you check fuel pressure and spark?

Okay, for the third time, you need to check for fuel and spark and find out what is missing.

we will deal with the codes when we find out what is missing for starting.
