Under the intake manifold. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

I need help with the location of the crank position sensors. I understand there are 2 on my car- 2000 Cadillac STS, an upper and a lower. Does anyone know where these two sensors are located and the degree of difficultly in replacing them?

Thanks,
Terry

My car went dead at a stop light, after checking batter even though the green indicator light says it's OK; found that it was dead. Bought new battery, now it seems like everything works; but the engine won't get any gas. How do you figure if it's the crank sensor or fuel pump?

Good question

The CPS provides input signal to the computer indicating the position of the piston/s and engine speed, when the computer is lacking this signal it will deactivate the injector/s.

The fuel pump has to have the correct pressure and the fuel pressure regulator has to maintain it. EFI systems are very picky with fuel pressure.

Does it have ignition spark?
